Primarily correspondence, 1794-1835, of Elizabeth (Collins) Lee (d. 1858), wife and widow of Richard Bland Lee (1761-1827) of Fairfax County, Va. Principal correspondents are her brother, Zacheus Collins (1764-1831) of Philadelphia, and her daughter, Ann Matilda (Lee) Washington (1799-1880). Letters address an array of subjects including family property, plantation management, domestic routines, and financial affairs. A small amount of Richard's correspondence, 1794-1813, concerns family property and finances.
